Pineapple on pizza may be a crime but pineapple on torta is just plain innovation. The Hawaiian was #2 on a list of 40+ torta options at Don Pepe Tortas Y Jugos so I assumed it didn't earn silver medal for nothing. It's a hearty sandwich with avocado, Oaxaca cheese, tomato, pineapple, and pork multiple ways for $12. Only downside is they missed a perfectly good opportunity to use spam. Take your sandwich to Sunset Park for some city views and a pretty pleasant afternoon.
