No one could call themselves an authority on soup without a visit to The Original Soup Kitchen of Seinfeld fame. I was hoping for clam chowder but that is certainly not a recession proof soup so I opted for beef chili for $8. They run quite an efficient operation and were very nice for the record. Every soup comes with a side of bread, fruit, and chocolate which is very sweet and the kind of thing you do when you care about your customer. Please may private equity never get within a thousand feet of this place. Side note: I haven’t seen a lobster roll for under $30 in about 8 years and theirs is $18 so something else to consider.
